Meet our Team
We are a group of people who are interested in reaching out to our local community and our world. While we celebrate their lives, we also know that helping with clean water, education, and a safe place to live can greatly impact both young and old.
Eric and Barbara Johnson
Barbara and Eric volunteered to help run another coffee shop in Utila, Honduras. After three years in Honduras, they realized the time had come to expand. So here they are, back in Radford, Virginia with another shop!
Shipping and Sales Coordinator
Nick has worked at both of RCC's sister shops and has learned to call coffee shops home. He desires whoever walks through RCC's door to feel at home in the same way he does. He manages the online store and handles shipping when away from the hustle and bustle of the coffee shop.
Rachel handles all employees and vounteers that come through RCC. She loves to see people flourish in their God given talents and enjoys the unique environment that RCC provides in allowing this to happen.
Phillip has a deep desire to see growth and change in the NRV and believes he can be a part of that by working with RCC. He has spent the past 10 years studying coffee as a trade and opened a micro coffee roastery with his wife, Priscilla. He now roasts coffee for us!
Camden heard about the School project in Nicaragua and coffee shops while working at a winery. He quit his job and left for Honduras to work with the Johnson's at the Utila Cafe. His growing heart for this line of work led him to RCC. You can find him most days with a clipboard in hand running the day to day operations.
Rebecca has come to RCC for a year to learn the non-profit model so that she can apply it to two coffee shops she hopes to open to train and support phasing-out orphans in Cusco, Peru.
